a pic of todays date or PU number next to trucks door with company name should make quick work of the frauds. Specially since the images are going to be harder to forge.
later on once carrier is confirmed you can do random security checks to ensure carrier integrity.
Brokers, beware of this carrier: EXPRESS TRANSFERS, LLC MC# 1532949 / DOT# 4047460 (based in OH)

But that 25k miles is standard on double brokers.Siinman, RockinChair and D.Tibbitt Thank this. -
If we can only get the fbi on this stuff vs parent teacher conferences. It’s lost productivity and money. Hurts the economy.
Siinman, RockinChair, nikmirbre and 1 other person Thank this. -
There's limited loads and countless trucks currently, you should have no problem finding someone that will provide service. -
Siinman Thanks this.

He'll I always send pictures when I'm loaded.. You know brokers like to see what they're actually moving. Makes it feel real for them. And they can feel a sense of pride in being apart of a move. I guess that would only apply to open deck... plus really the only reason I done it is because Im aware of the double brokering b.s. and trying to prove to them I'm not a scumbag ripping them off.. One of the brokers I use requires it now or ur not getting loaded.. It really is so simple... good carriers and good brokers need to come together to fight the double brokering and do everything they can to stop it.. It hurts everybody in this business...
Thanks for posting this... the instant red flag for me is the dot number. I have a hard Rule that I don't work with anybody with a dot number newer then mine... and mine start with 377.... In fact I won't work with anybody in the 300s . Instant red flag.. Even if it's not a double broker. I imagine it's somebody small that may try to stiff me on payment or be a hassle to work with being so new... I have seen many double brokers everyday on the boards.. Luckily I have not been duped by any of them because of this forum and looking out for red flags like brand new dot numbers or 323 area codes. And I always browse thru their social media's before working with any broker.. If they don't have anything or can't find any employees on LinkedIn at the very least. Its a no go for me...Last edited: Jun 23, 2023
alds, tiddlytanker, PPLC and 2 others Thank this. -
We always ask for the VIN# of the truck, verify it's actually on the policy. Sometimes ask for them to e-mail the logs from the ELD when loaded.
That has the VIN# on it and the company. Have caught a few and then paid them direct. -
We just need more people to be aware and take action. If the FBI gets enough complaints they might do something about it. -
Siinman Thanks this.

I know a colleague from a different broker sent DAT 6-7 long detailed emails that were giving the details of the scam and a list of 1000 MC#s that they use, plus the 100 or so bad brokers doing it...
maybe 2 got removed from the platform....
