I paid 1.76 in California of all states just Yesterday. Oh and the price of gas is now higher then fuel for us in many parts of the country again. As it's cheaper to produce it is starting to balance out.

So, Your willing to loan the company fuel money? Provided you have that much in the bank. Which is highly unlikely.

He isn't loaning any company anything. And I would hope he has enough in the back to pay for it or he better find a new line of work.

Simply put, he isn't a company slave.

That's nice. But a lot of truckers use fuel cards. Even those that are leased on to carriers.

Not many pay for their own fuel out of their own banks.

Don't need to be a company slave.

CNG price of gas equivalent to a gallon of gasolinein WI is now higher than gasoline or diesel, in many cases.

It's ok to use a fuel card. IF it saves you money. If it means you have to spend more for fuel due to only big chains accepting the card, then a truck owner should be paying for fuel with alternative ways. And if a guy can't afford to buy his fuel without a company provides fuel card, then he has no business owning a truck. those people with zero capital are part of the reason freight rates are so low. They have no business sense and are willing to pull a lot of cheap freight.

Knowing cj, I bet it was the ta. This is an example of using a fuel card to save money, through carrier discounts.
