Yeah, there isn't much freight here. But I am where I am (Albuquerque). I think I'm going to go with Kold Trans. They've offered me the most so far, with the exception of Crete/Schaffer. But the Crete recruiter told me I'd be out for 6 weeks at a time. Too much for me. Four is my max, then home. I love home. I haven't spoken with Dynamic yet.

Yeah, went to Rocky Mountain. Instructors there were hilarious! I had a good time. I'll look into first fleet. Thanks.

What did it pay? It would have to pay stupid money to get someone on a dedicated I70 route with a single screw and a dummy axle,...BUT, for stupid money, I would do stupid things.

Nah Bro. This only paid .39mi. Stupid. even for a rookie. Kold Trans will start me at .46 with 7 months experience. My first option at present. I believe I can get another .02 being that I'm a Navy Vet.

    The Latest:

I'm trying to wrap things up with Schwerman. 1,200-1,400 wk. Dry Bulk, running mostly NM and TX. Home several times per week and every other weekend off.

I️ have a question for those that may be in the know. I️ interviewed with another Dry Bulk company today. They pay the Driver 25%. So, they gave me an example; A load of cement is hauled 300 miles. The pay to the driver is 191.00. But, the 191.00 is round trip pay. meaning, I’d be deadheading back. Sound about right?

Yes, you pump cement off using air pressure to the tanker. Preferably by the customer's electric air supply. Takes 40 minutes or a little bit more if you are paying attention to that living hose discharging the stuff.

191 over 300 miles is good. Half that back home empty I'll do it, that's 8 hour day. Times 6 days a week... you are into it for about 1200 gross a week. 40% for taxes you are still good for 8 hours more or less on that load depending on if you PRELOAD each one the night before.

I love bulk tanking. It's not particularly difficult but the devil is in the details. Even today I can touch any tanker in bulk fed by air and unload it. I have it cast in stone on my brain.

It's actually five days a week. However, I won't necessarily head back toward the house everyday. They might send me to the Odessa Midland area, Kansas, Hobbs, etc. I didn't have to hear recruiter speak, as I spoke with their HR department, and had a phone interview with the regional manager. He said go getters sometimes earn up to 1500 per week. They will pay me 15.00 hr while training. Also, I don't have to slip seat. I'm an easy dog to hunt with, so I'm hoping the dispatcher likes my attitude and professionalism. Thanks for your input. I greatly value it.
