Brothers Collide Head-On

"Brothers killed when their vehicles collide" At Paw Paw, Michigan, James West, 33, was north-bound on snow covered 39th Street at 3:16 p.m. when he apparently lost control of his 1985 Monte Carlo. His car went into the path of the 1988 Dodge Daytona driven by his brother Jessie West, 24. The two men lived together in a house on 39th Street about a mile from the accident scene. Based on skid marks, the crash did not appear to be intentional. James West was not wearing a seat belt. At least one car was traveling the speed limit of 55 mph. Family members said it would be uncharacteristic of the brothers to play "chicken". There were no bad feelings between the two brothers. James West worked as a truck driver, and Jessie was a cook at Gallagher's Eatery & Pub.
