Brownsville TX

There are a few Stripes truck stops down there, as well as a few other smaller indepenents.

To my knowledge there are no major chain stops down there, however there are many truck parking areas along the interstates. They are well lit, but have nothing else.

And whatever you do, do not try and park at the Walmart/Sam's unless that is actually where you are delivering, they'll tow you away while you sleep in the truck.

 

Closest is edinburg, tx. T/A & Flying J...thats it

 

Brownsville doesn't like trucks.

 

Which is 60 miles away.

That's for sure, I used to deliver there all the time was a real headache at times.

Most of those will be packed by locals. That parking area might be the best choice.

 

I am in Brownsville once a week. I deliver throughout the RGV, so I usually post up at the Edinburg J. There is also a Loves and a TA north of Edinburg, but those are further away from Brownsville.

There is a Stripes and Road Ranger WITH truck parking north of Harlingen off of 107 and Hwy 77.

Most, if not ALL of the Stripes in Brownsville will be just corner stores with NO traditional truck parking.

There is a big home depot that I've seen trucks parked at. It's off Expressway 83.

There is a Kmart in a shopping center off Pablo Kisel that has plenty of parking space out back. I see Swifties parked back there a lot. You'd get away with parking back there

There is also a now closed Walmart supercenter off of Hwy 48 that should have ample space to park for the night.
