    Unless those cars were built by GM and Ford...
    The only car Ford builds now are Mustangs,
    GM just discontinued the Impala sedans last month. The only cars are the Camaro & Corvette,Sonic & Spark(the last two are scheduled to be phased out).

    The rental places I've seen have lots of crossovers and vans in the mix, and not a lot of domestic sedans.

    Where I live, the domestics of all persuasions are the most popular, but elsewhere, not so much.

    The foreign makers wouldn't allow dealerships in small towns, so it's a drive to the bigger towns where they are sold new.

    Theres a guy selling used Subarus just south of here, dedicated to that brand. Might be more of them like that around here that I don't know about.

    Anyway, that fire probably claimed 60% or more of foreign makes, judging from renting cars to drive while on vacation.

    Up in the northeast it’s crossover/SUV territory,with a few FWD/AWD sedans getting in on the market share. Nissan,Toyota,Subaru,Honda naturally are sold mostly,along with BMW,Audi & M-Bs.

    Stepdaughter was driving Kia but has had 3 VW sedans lately.

    I ride with her at times when we visit, but I'm getting a little too stiff to get out anymore.

    The Silverado that her guy drives is much easier.

    In PA, you see more foreign makes by far than anything else.

    Same story in MA although you’ll still see Fords mostly holding it down.

    Happened right down the street from my buddies shop down here in Florida Probably the best thing that happened to the rental car company with all the travel shutdown .
