This is the wife, Rick is working.

He wouldn't know that. He is just a low seniority driver letting folks know about the openings because a lot of folks give up on ever being able to get into Buckeye. I imagine that there are folks that you could talk to about that, though.

Sorry I couldn't be any help.

For those who may not have seen it, Buckeye is showing up as hiring, on the website.

It doesn't happen very often, so get your application in.

Just as an FYI, Buckeye is looking at hiring between 10 and 14 drivers.

    Good luck to all !!!

When a driver gets off of the extra board and gets on a program do they cover the same stores and area all of the time?

Pretty much, unless you get on a set run. However, there are few of those, and they pretty much all go to the drivers with the most seniority.

Just to let you know, at Buckeye, it takes quite a while to get off the extra board. It is just the way it is due to the very low turnover. My husband is still on the extra board, but he always gets the day out he wants at realignment, so he is happy with his 5/2.

    Buzzard2157 and crackerboy Thank this.

?? How does he get the start day he want,s if he is on the extra board? I thought xboard was on a call in day. or is it that he doesn't have an assigned tractor?

its that he doesnt have a tractor and isnt on a program. thats really all extra means. you still can run just as hard as everyone else.

    Buzzard2157 Thanks this.
