I am an otr driver with one year experience, all I have ever driven otr is an automatic, was wondering about it, thanks

 

Don't let it scare you man...manuals are fairly easy to learn...you'll still scratch gears every now and then even after driving them for a while, but you should be comfortable with it in a couple weeks.

 

Thanks, it's not the straight that really concerns me, it's the two weeks with a trainer, haven't had the best experience in that area, not going to get into all that, but that's my concern.

 

I completely understand man. Would you have to go out with a trainer just for securement training?

 

I drive dry box, and am currently employed, wanting a change, not afraid of work and think I'd be happier flat bed. This company looks good, it's just the two weeks.

 

I put in a request to be a trainer. Mostly cause i don't have to train how to drive. Only how to do the flatbed securement and how to tarp. Should be getting rid back out soon to get my new truck and materials.
The trainers we have are decent guys. They know their stuff. No running teams the first week, and only run teams the second week of both feel good about doing so. If you explain to then your lack of experiance with a stick, they will do everything they can to accommodate
