Hello All.
I have plenty of experience with a bulk tank that you load via the manholes on top so I've got that part covered.
Tomorrow I have an interview at a company that has the bulk tanks that have the cylindrical hopper on the rear and I was wondering how they work or how complex they are to use compared to just loading through the top and unloading.
I assume the hopper on the rear is used for vacuum loading as opposed to loading through the top.
Thank you!

I've never loaded via that vaccum. I have heard it's easy once you learn it.
Search YouTube, there's plenty of dry bulk videos there.Edjahman Thanks this. -
I've done so many different things except for that one thing lol. It's just that new job interview anxiety. haha.
I did check You Tube but i couldn't find anything about loading in that particular way but Thank You for the suggestion.
Take care.

I'm actually pulling cryogenic tankers currently but ty for asking.
I never did play with one of those bulk tanks with the hopper on the back but maybe someday I will.
I know AR has a ton of them.
Take care.

I almost got that position. I've operated plenty of bulk tanks over the years but I've never operated one with the little round hopper thing on the back. From what I understand it's for loading in an alternative manner as opposed to loading into the manholes on top. Something like a vacuum I've heard. I have no idea if that's true.
Forever curious though.
Take care! -
naturally there is a little more to it but that's the basic principle.Edjahman Thanks this. -
Thank you! Curiosity settled!
