We delivered a load for this compay in mid-Sept and they still haven't paid us. Originally, they said their customer didn't paid them (they have already been paid, we verified that with the buyer). Then, they stopped responding to calls and emails. Dishonest people!

Our claim on their bond got rejected by the bond company because the load we hauled was produce, and produce is an "exempt commodity" under the FMCSA Ruling 119. The bond company is basing their rejection of our claim on FMCSA Ruling 119, but according to the FMCSA, this ruling has nothing to do with claims going against brokers' bonds. FMCSA doesn't enforce the law, the states do. So, we've contacted the State to investigate the bond company if they are using this law properly - still waiting on the response. (All Bond companies seem to be using Ruling 119 to reject claims against broker's bond on "exempt commodities"). This broker's bond got cancelled, though, by the bond company due to non-payment.

Most produce is exempt. Brokers of exempt products don't have to be licensed or have a bond. Did you credit check before hauling the load? What is the MC#?

MC-762618. Yes, we did. All was fine. We use Truckstop. Does anyone recommend anything else for the broker credit check?

They have a D credit rating. And It shows their bond was canceled on 12/31/16. By Pacific Financial Association. Suspect bond by the way, because of denying or not responding to claims. I'd be wary of doing business with any broker dealing with P.F.A. Their brokerage authority is about to be revoked soon. No bueno. Contact Sergio Diaz.

Good to know about the PFA. Thanks. Are you using truckstop for brokers' ratings or anyone else?
