My trainer and I had a pretty good relationship throughout my training. I was his first trainee. He tried to get me to stay on his truck longer, but towards the end of my training he started to get lazy and I had to do everything while he sleep. So when I finished my miles I told I'm not staying on the truck I'm going home. So he was really upset and he told me don't worry about calling him if I need help with...how do you guys think I should handle this?

They'll be plenty of people out there willing to give you advice and tips.Just finish up and get off his truck and never deal with him again.

I know I might get in a bind and may need help with something like most new drivers do

Use this forum....get through a terminal and find a driver who seems like he knows what he is doing and pick his brain...heck call your dispatcher and request a couple phone numbers from the top drivers on his board

Now, THERE'S a guy who really cares about helping his fellow man. He sounds like he's in middle school. He's just gunna take his ball and go home. Good riddance.

Don't worry about needing help and you don't have your trainer to call.Say you guys were still getting along, there's going to be many times you'll need help and he'll be sleeping.Just ask other drivers and doesn't have to be Prime either.

as long as he trained you the rite way, you shouldnt have too much issues. so i wouldnt worry to much about not calling him. find another driver or ask another flatbedder you see around. most will help if possible. good luck
