What does Prime check for in their background check?
Will all this disqualify me?:
3 speeding tickets in 2012
41/25, 60/45, 51/35
2011 assault
Found not guilty
2010 marijuana possession
Nolle prosequi (prosecution dropped - cop didn't show in court)
I also had an open container charge that got my license suspended for 6 months in 2009, but I didn't see that in the court database.
Do they even check that far back?
This was all from ten years ago when I was 21 and thought I was a rock star.
Bunch of tickets from ten years ago

Prime goes back forever.
Stevens Transport might take you.snapplepress, born&raisedintheusa, rachi and 1 other person Thank this. -
An open container citation got your license suspended for six months? No contributory circumstances?
Maybe the judge just didn't like you. -
I was under 21. Cop pulled us over because he smelled weed, but then all he found was a bottle of vodka that I forgot was in the trunk from a few months before. -
Even if you have changed from a 21 yr old rock star to what ever you are today, are you new to trucking if so then chances are your gonna swing and miss..
It will likely leave doubt despite what your record shows....It will be all on you to change their minds and if you do,ya gotta keep proveing to them that they made the right decision..
Good luck and hope your past doesnt decide on your future.. -
I feel like you're being a little doom and gloom. I was asking what people specifically will check for. I doubt most companies will care about this but I want to know how prime will respond. -
Rugerfan, snapplepress, okiedokie and 6 others Thank this. -
Call Western Express if they say no , there's always farm work to.
Good Luck. -
The license getting suspended is going to stay with you forever. Every company asks “have you ever had your license suspended”, then they want to know why. The fact that yours is alcohol related isn’t good. That judge really screwed you over for a first time open container.
Nine year old tickets and being found not guilty twice (I don’t care if the cop no showed, still not guilty) aren’t a big deal. I don’t even think they can ask about something you’ve been found not guilty on.
Having your license suspended over an alcohol infraction is going to hurt. You need to have your “elevator pitch” on this down cold so you can explain it succinctly, without sounding defensive.snapplepress, born&raisedintheusa and Coffey Thank this. -
