Apparently they’ve been working without A/C for weeks-a necessity due to the fact those grills, fryers and ovens put out crazy amounts of heat!

B/K isn’t the only one having issues. Shot this 2 days ago at the Pilot off of I-24 in Oak Grove,KY.
Sign reads: “Closed due to understaffed”!!!
So much for getting a Dave’s Classic!!lovesthedrive Thanks this. -
I thought it happened in Nebraska?
I kind of have mixed feelings, I work in a repair shop and we don't have A/C. Couple weeks back it was over 100 degrees in the shop. We just kept plugging away. We'd take a couple extra 5 minute breaks for water but other than that, business as usual.lovesthedrive, Cattleman84 and InTooDeep Thank this. -
lovesthedrive and AModelCat Thank this.

Would you want a fast food employee to be dripping sweat or passing out from heat exhaustion/heat stroke while cooking/preparing your food?Stray_Dog, '88K100, lovesthedrive and 2 others Thank this. -
Having worked in restaurant kitchens in college as a short order cook, I cant blame them one bit... Kitchens are hot and miserable even with GOOD A/C, let alone NO A/C
lovesthedrive, bzinger and mjd4277 Thank this. -

Like we all tell aspiring O/O, if you don't have enough money in the maintenance fund to run for 6 months maybe you shouldn't try owning your own business.
I would think in the franchise agreements there would be a clause that the restaurant had to be kept up in working order.lovesthedrive Thanks this. -
I'll make a bet that the owner's house was air conditioned and comfortably cool.
If you want your hired help to produce you gotta keep them comfortable. Fixing the A/C should be a no brainer.lovesthedrive, Cattleman84, Roberts450 and 2 others Thank this. -
One past job I worked at the owner biught a two unit building. He rented out the second one and the furnace died in the winter time. After a compliment to the local building inspector he came out. When told they were disputing it in court he said he couldn't do anything else.lovesthedrive Thanks this.
