The roof fiberglass? If it is how thick is it you think. Old thin fiberglass becomes very brittle from sun exposure.

Is that a 359 or was that an old Kenworth? What year is that truck. .?

Got any pics? Crazy they made that all out of a one piece fiberglass molded piece .

So all your repairs are fiberglass on fiberglass? Even fiberglass benifits from sandblasting to contribute to adhesion over just grinding it.

Like I said polyester is not a secondary adhesive bonding element

When you build boats you have a 24 hour window to lay out your next layer of fiberglass to get a Chemical bond to the previous layer.

After that you have to sand the previous layer and the bond is a 1/10 of the chemical bond.

Is the Roof halfway thick ?

Yep all fiberglass on fiberglass. Roof looks to be all original. Haven't sanded it yet, just stripped the cab 90% down and set it aside.

Ok I originally thought you were going to patch metal with glass. My Bad.

You can get away with just grinding the glass and repairing it being its mostly cosmetic. If you were repairing a structural part of the fiberglass cab than I would suggest sandblasting than using epoxy resin.
