Thank you I am fine, I was actually asking how other drivers/fleet owners would handle the situation. Watching some fail that is a friend is not a comfortable feeling. I know, watch him fail, he'll learn.

Sounds like he spends money and makes fast decisions, kinda like someone who eats just to Purge after they eat. There is a woman involved somewhere... My advice is to leave him alone and worry about your own business... It's tough enough trying to keep up with your freight let alone to worry about all that BS he has goin on... Especially the $400k deal, wow!
Midwest Trucker, Rideandrepair and maffy95 Thank this. -

It’s a tough situation.Fact is you have no control over others actions.I see friends do things with money I think is wasteful. I’m sure they have opinions on some of my unconventional ways when it comes to money matters. Doesn’t matter consider it a privilege he trusts you enough to even admit such embarrassing mistakes. Hard to keep from passing Judgement.Easy to do though. Not worth losing a friend over.If He wants your advice he’ll ask for it.

Op, dude, let it go.
There is not a thing you can do to save him.
Stop trying to give advice because it will ruin your friendship.
I give limited advice here, however I give advice to people I've known for years but if they don't listen, that's their problem I move in.maffy95 Thanks this. -
I am and have been a business coach over nearly three decades. You cannot "force" people to take advice. I learned a long time ago that some people cannot be helped and no matter the relationship there is a time to let them go. In fact, you have to be careful that associating with them does not create a toxic situation in your own life and the ensuing distress starts to affect you. It doesn't mean you have to abandon them entirely, just be cautious about how, and how often, you interact. You can make occasional inquiries as to their status, but don't get dragged into their mire.Tug Toy, blairandgretchen, Ruthless and 1 other person Thank this. -
