Sorry I didnt have a chance to post yesterday. I was so busy and tired when I got home. And dont have time to write much tonight as I'm to leave out on first load tomorrow. Will say they offer 401k, Blue Cross & Aflac. I had transportation issues to get to the terminal so they let me bring a company van home for the night. Will drive up in the morning to get my KW (oh i've been calling it a KWT9 and its a T6).
They offered me .02 more than originally offered on the phone and have promised to get me home every other weekend if I choose. Their website says they require everyone to get their Hazmat but they will help you get your prints started.
I dont have much else to say tonight. Gotta get packed and get rolling. I'll try to write more later. But if you dont read any more posts from me you can be sure its because I'm content and making $$$. If I get screwed, however, I'll be posting on here pronto.

I thought that I had posted a response a long time ago. I just now realized it didn't go through.
Buske was in all a fairly good company. A definite breath of fresh air compared to the "just-a-number companies" I had been used to. The only times I was asked for my truck number vs my name, was for obvious shop or licensing purposes. Also, consistent customers means having consistent fuel, food and parking.
There is also the other side to driving for a small company, and Buske was no exception. You will be monitored. You will not get away with pulling BS. Your dispatcher will be on you every second if he/she cannot trust you. You will be penalized financially for service failures. And if you run into an emergency needing to get home, they may run into complications locating you a timely relay.
I was in orientation with a few others but only kept in contact with 2 other drivers, both females. And each had an opinion of extreme opposites. One was absolutely thrilled and couldn't imagine a better company. She had great miles and great equipment from the get-go. The other, seemed doomed to bad luck. Not only did her bus suffer a break-down on her way in, but it seemed every trip she went on, and every truck she was assigned, was destined for destruction.
In the end, I left due to some family issues but also due to the small truck. I knew and still talk with drivers much larger than I who are fine with the tiny cabs, but I found I could not sleep inches from the roof. -
