I appreciate all the replies I read through them all. The owner of my company told me don't bother fighting it just pay it and put it behind us so if he's not too concerned about it I'm not either. Either way, it's going to cost me money regardless so I might as will just take the cheapest and easiest way out at this point show up for my court date and pay it

If you intend to just pay it and move on, I would contact the court clerk for the court where you were summoned to appear. More often than not, you are not required to go to court if you are going to plead guilty and pay the fine. They will be able to guide you, but I would be willing to guess that you can get out of having to show up. At least that would save you the additional time and expense of appearing in court.

Why do you have to show up at court?I thought that's only if you're pleading not guilty.Call the clerk of courts and pay it over the phone.

By not going to court , you will never know what it would have been reduced too

he probably went back to the coop and told all those other ### wagons how he laid the law down on a trucker. Then they all made out and painted each other's nails and drank some wine and ate some cheeses. A Pig is a Pig is a Pig and they all know how to drive a truck better than any one of us because they are the law. ### clowns.

I don't get that choice. It's a mandatory court appearance

Here is what a friend of mine did. He sent the ticket back and where it said guilty or innocent he wrote Guilty with explanation (see note). He attached a letter to the judge explaining the situation. When the court mailed it back to him with the court date, it said (dismissed). It worked out for him. It might for you.

What is your truck governed at? Were you coming down or up a hill?
