Detention pay with Schneider is crap I think for a whole day at $65 and while you sit and wait it's about $10 an hour. They suck Lol

It's the company and the drivers that take and run those trailers. Personally, I would never run a trailer that needs to be fixed to be roadable. It's not the DOT or any inspector I worried about, it's if you are involved in an accident and they do inspect the trailer you'll be held accountable no matter if it's your fault or not. And worse case you can do time.

well when I was leased to them I used to grab a trailer if the tires were recapped more than 2 times I use to go a company shop slide a 20 and get them changed and I had a great terminal manager that when we had blow out she requested new tires she used to tell them "drivers are far and few inbetween and I have too many loads to cover to lose drivers and time over trailer maintenance"

Unfortunately over time the accountants in green bay are getting worse & worse. When I worked for Intermodel we had the same fight every year with GB. We were told every winter as a terminal we could not idle the trucks when it got cold. The first time it was 10° and SNI lost $100's of $1,000's because half the fleet wouldn't start-up they changed their mind. They're great at stepping over dollars to pick up pennies. As a whole fleet they're constantly having service failures, but their rates are so stupid low shippers are willing to put up with it on none critical loads.

Stepping over dollars and climbing over pallets of money to get that cent out of where it does not belong. (Spent)
