I have done the following at some shoddy companies in the past.It is crazy but effective. After about the 3rd trailer I picked up with flat spots, rusty wheels, marker lights broke off etc...I drove it up on the scales (staring into the shack helps) acted weird."Driver bring your truck around to the inspection garage".Now theyll have to fix it."Sir it was preloaded I wrote it down.

I once had a steamy magazine center fold flapping at a DOT scale while rumming through the passenger seat pile. On the scale no less with a truck that really needed attention.

Blessed be the words DRIVER BRING IT AROUND BACK.... pause.... NAOW.

    uh oh.

I was driving down the interstate the other day and my license plate bracket fell off to be held by the electric cord. The bolts were so rusty vibrations from the road broke it off. Took a bolt out from the cab and put it through the hole bent it because I didnt have a nut. Other side bolt head was stuck in the hole so i ziptied it up. Asked dispatch if i could have it fixed. Nope drop it at X and get a better one.......okay i guess.

Picking up trailers that leak around the glad hand hook up. "I got an air leak" is it dangerous "well not right now but...." swap without at X driver. "Whatever you say"

I bought a sharpie and some duct tape. Now I leave notes stuck to the front if the trailer (a strip all the way across the front)

Since the end of November of 2018. I'm not liking this company at all.

If you can stick it out until you've got 6 months' experience that will help your chances of getting hired on somewhere better. Ordinarily I would advise you to wait until you have a year's experience, but I know you're not going to wait that long - and I can't say I blame you.

I’ve been considering Q.C. Mainly because I live in Florida. Anything you care to share?
