BUT FIRST, driver, you have to do 5000 miles a week yourself.

Absolutely. The US government is completely corrupt; it’s under complete control of big business and corporations, and your representation of this company’s advertised practices are but a small expose’ of the bigger picture.

100% agree. People/companies forget us drivers sometimes notice things or talk to dock workers when we make deliveries. Amongst the Fortune 500 companies, let’s take Clorox to clean this up lol. Shipping office was friendly that day, we got the talking, the facility has about 200 employees. Generates about $7 billion a year, with a gross profit of $2.5 billion, they have team meeting about hitting numbers and staying on target. Company could afford to pay every employee $5,000 every day and still make $1m daily PROFIT, but upon their job postings or ads they pay everyone in the facility more or less about $200 dollars a day for 12 hour shifts without breaks, 2% raises every year, quarterly bonuses if they earn them. According to the shipping office they would lose their bonus if late more than twice in the previous year… if so, you weren't eligible for two bonuses, the year of and year to come because you did something the boss didn't like, for example, saying it's unethical to make people work 12 hour shifts without breaks, would also take their bonuses away.

Similar to many hyena companies, they (Clorox) could give everyone a wonderful life, amazing pay, benefits but instead choose excessive profits over humanity's well being, more than happy to have hire/fire revolving door staffing but promote well being and mental health every day of the week, all year. That was the only time I went to the Clorox plant lol; but a lot of these places we deliver to/for put yourself in the businesses workers shoes, act like an employee undercover like and look at their pay/benefits program; review how much the company sells their products for to consumers; how much they actually make and spend and earn (especially if publicly traded)… it’s crazy how much of a disadvantage people are at and they could easily be treated better without a doubt… but you know “at-will employment” or capitalism is the greatest system in the world. Then us drivers not only know that, but deal with crazy government regulations/rules meanwhile we’re just chilling, half the time in trouble for just driving, then know about crazy 1099 scams and other wild tomfoolery going on in the industry here or there…. we end our shifts asking “sir is it alright if I park my truck here for just a 10hr break?” lol… us drivers still in trouble for parking… everyday struggle in the crazy world, we don’t even get to finish breakfast yet, it’s always something lol

It's too easy to open a trucking company. You don't need anything but a line of credit with either a lot of credit cards, or the ability to get a loan. The government doesn't make it hard at all. As long as you can show an ability pay all the taxes and fees that go into owning a company, they don't care.

You know, the news keeps telling me how lucky I am to be an American and that I’m free.
Couple of months ago, I spent some time in Switzerland, Germany and France… what I saw over there made me realize that our American news channels (all of it, 100%) regardless of source, is purposefully steering us into whatever direction our corporate masters want us to go; we’re all rudderless children circling the drain.

But that's just it, you're free to not watch the news here.

Don't even get me started with Switzerland, Germany OR France. None of them have the freedom we do.

Actually, that is incorrect; only English speakers use a comma to denote the break at 1,000; Europeans either use no comma, or put a space between every 3 digits in a whole number, like "$2 800" or "$2800".
Europeans use commas the same way we use decimal points. As in $6.99 would be $6,99 in European practice.

    Not true...

I googled "how do you write 1 million in europe" and got this:
Also, depending on the country, locals might write one million in different ways including the following: United States and United Kingdom: 1,000,000. Switzerland: 1′000′000. Germany and other European countries: 1.000.

And if you google "how do I write 1 million in the international system" you get this:
Now, we know that 1 million = 1,000,000 in the international place value system. 1 million = 10,00,000 in the Indian place value system.

So it would appear you are incorrect.

I was in Germany in the 70s and KNEW they did it as do a few others I knew off the top of my head. I will admit that I thought all of Europe did it that way, but if you are going to correct someone you should at least be accurate about it.
