sitting around-no actually busy, busy running miles. If I was sitting around I would have time to write all the time.
Making miles,money-doing good.mostly running between ohio and west coast past few months,Mostly frozen loads, a few dry loads, few refrig loads.
got thru the winter only having to sit and wait out one sierra nevada snow storm but was in CA and not stuck in the 6+ ft of snow.

in an 08 Columbia,yes-get preplans in advance so always know which way to head.APU works great, was actually told to run the truck when it was real cold over the winter but havent had to heater works great.A/C does also.
they take good care of stuff-if not thru the yard then get anything I need fixed on the road all I do is stop at a shop & let them know as far as lights, tires, etc especially on trailers.

Good deal. They know what they are doing it seems and that's hard to find these days and having an apu is great. Heard Indianapolis is a major hub for Butler
Is this true? How bout Denver and Salt Lake? Thanks!

Yeah, I know how it all works. Bottom line is that they pay 32 cents per mile.

I dont know what you consider a "good" paycheck, but here is an example. I came off of a 10 hour break outside of Columbus Ohio. Drove 30 mins to Columbus to make my noon appt time. (found out later they didnt have appts, first come first served). This was Abbot Nutrition, by the way. I didnt get my bills until 1am the next morning. And dont forget, once you start that 14 hr clock on an e-log, there is no adjusting or fudging. The last few weeks that I was there the sitting around waiting for loads to be ready with no detention pay got to be too much. I wasted way too much time off of my 14 with that bs e-log...

Wait times happen some longer then others but if you waited for 10-15hrs you got your 10hr break in so you could do a little drving once you got your paperwork.
