yeah I suppose that makes sense,bc I was a lil concerned when I had my oil changed there last week.
A couple of kids were doing the work, and they were playing "grab arse" as they were working on my truck,I had to tell them to chill out around my truck. Probably wont use them in Houston again.

That right there is a whole nother topic LOL. I just went a couple rounds with the Atlanta Petro about stuff like that going on in the shop while I waited for hours on end. It's a shame that a few bad locations will turn you away from a chain that may have some good locations.

I went into the Speedco off Moreland Ave in Atlanta expecting the worst and they blew me away with a clean shop and great service. Quite the opposite of what you got in Houston apparently.

Yeah you are right bc I've had my truck in the Va Speedco and always did a wonderful job, they even let me down in the dungeon to see what they were actually doing. So I always went there on my back to Tx when I could plan it just right, which usually worked out since I ran Ny to Tx a lot back then.

However lol ..I purchased a $3500 warranty about 10 years ago and didnt spend a dime on my rebuild
Best $3500.00 I ever spent. Was through Daimler though. They tried so hard NOT to pay for it all,but I "stood my ground"

I have to agree with most others here, aftermarket warranties are a joke. If you financer requires it then I'd find a better financer or give em a bigger down payment. I dont screw around with the typical Speedco "instant oil analysis" BS...I take all mine to CAT where it costs me $16 n they send it to a proper lab. You could do the same with yours n take it to Cummins. At least you know you are getting a proper analysis instead of having it contaminated by residue of someone elses oil.

Speedco oil sames are the instant ones and not always correct. If the machine isnt cleaned properly before use, and it isnt as sensitive. Send it to a real LAB. Some cat dealers have a lab, Polaris is another.
