Buying a brand new trailer. Looking at Mac, Fontaine, Manac, and few others. What do you guys like?

    THAT is not good.

    We always or generally had wood decks. Cheaper to toss a few new planks from a Lowes or something now and then.

    We usually loaded in side docks or railroad pull throughs from the side. Coils go onto the floor without the huge towmotor putting any more than a wheel on it at most...

    I too hate seeing new equipment get damaged. Hopefully the other side of the deck isn't that bad. For some reason new trailers don't stay new for very long.

    So you saw a tow motor big enough to set a steel coil in the middle of the trailer and only put one wheel on?

    A narrow fork truck unloading skidded coils. In a perfect world all the lift trucks would be the right width for the wheels to line up with the frame rails. Unfortunately we don't live in a perfect world. On the other hand that trailer is still going up and down the road. Just with that rippled floor to remind him every day lol
