Not to mention more tires to buy?

You’re generating more revenue, with increased efficiency. The additional tires are part of the tool necessary to do that.
The 2 middle axles are liftable, when not in use. But, the additional weight can be a hindrance, outside the market area. It’s a specific operation (quad) for a specific area (steel belt) and specific usage (hauling steel).Blue jeans and gekko1323 Thank this. -
So you can haul more coils, let's say? Do you need overweight permits, or does the fact that having more axles handling their specific allowance negate the permit?ducnut Thanks this.

The hindrance being that because they add more overall weight to the trailer, you will be relegated to hauling less weight when not hauling steel, let's say?ducnut Thanks this.

Absolutely get the ramps, adds more versatility to the loads you can move and most places I every loaded and offloaded did not have any ramps on site.
they are especialy nice if you have clients that say, yeh just drop it outside the gate if we are not open, I did that quite often, but that might just be an alberta thing and it eas with dedicated clients, not load board stuff.cke Thanks this.
