Don't argue about things you know nothing about. Like broke down trucks.

But finding that Freightshaker specced to be abused off road and not cruised down the highway is like finding a unicorn, it may be a boring depressing unicorn with a busted leg but still a unicorn.

    Hello again,
I've read further down the thread and at the risk of having tomatoes thrown at me and getting booed off the stage, I'd like to chime back in...
Here's the thing, ANY truck will get stuck in the mud if it's muddy. This can often be avoided by simply getting out of your truck and surveying the turf. The best way to avoid getting stuck in the mud is to not get stuck in the mud. That's the trick. The truck won't save you. That's like saying the stove bakes good cakes or the camera takes good pictures. Sure, the equipment matters, but it's good bakers that make good cakes and good photographers that take good photos.
You've got your eye on Freightliners, don't overlook 'em. They're good trucks. They've served many, including myself, very well. Look for one with a Cummins, a CAT, or a Detroit Diesel 60 (as you mentioned). They're older trucks but inexpensive and ideal for someone just starting out.
    Regards

Just head out to Western Canuckistan. There's a ton of heavy spec Freightliners out hauling logs, construction equipment, gravel etc.

I just can't understand how you can just make a blanket statement saying all Freightliners have weak diffs. Just plain ignorance. If you're going off road and want a Freightliner, buy one spec'd with the proper diffs and it won't be an issue.

This hasn't been my experience, but your post is still "thank" worthy for the laugh. Excellent description, haha!
