ive seen quite a few, witnessed a 1996 379 day cab with 3100 miles on it for for 130k at auction back in 2014-15. Guy owned a lumber yard and bought it for a write off and stuck it in the barn...actually bought atleast two because he sold the second one to the guy that lost the bid iirc

The world is bigger than drop/hook and drive 70 MPH to the destination. Lots of folks forget that.

Heck. With 31,000 it could still possibly have it’s original tires. Lol!

    Nice find for sure.

With additional time to think comes a slightly different perspective. Finding a lightly miled 379 in this day in age is hard to come by. Is it fairly priced? Can you swing acquiring it? If those answers are yes then... Obviously look the truck over and make sure to the best of your abilities that it is mechanically sound. Run your checks and ask questions on type of usage, any problems. Has it sat, if so, for how long?

If after that, a pre-DEF, pre-ELOGS truck is sitting there and works for your business application JUMP ON IT! You are buying a used truck, you should be heads and shoulders ahead of someone buying a new $150K truck. You are buying a 379!!! A well known, well supported truck with plenty of parts suppliers and people know how on the type. It is a great find. Understand certain items will have aged but again even after updating with new parts you should be in a great financial place in comparison to a $150K truck note.
