Ok, I guess I'll just cash in my IRA and go out and get a new Peterbilt. I need all the new emissions crap because going to go OTR for 2 years before coming back to fuel locally. Don't ask why.

But you talked me into it thanks. Going all in .

Any freightliner you are looking at has emission equipment on it.

@Justrucking2 posted a good video on another thread about buyer beware when purchasing a truck... maybe he will post it here so you can see.

I've already watched it. I would not own a modern truck if it were gifted to me off the showroom floor.

Anything pre modern emissions. Even a Volvo d12. But I have a preference of no dpf, def, series 60 pre 2000 engine. In any old truck.

Dino soar and John A. Thank this.

I was just curious, I've always wanted an old cabover like my grandpa had when I was a boy. Probably not very useful anymore, though.

If your buying a fleet mega fleet used truck. CALL that fleet, get a hold of maintenance. Then ask them to mail, e-mail, you a copy of the main records from when it was put into service.
Before anyone tells you they cant or won't. I got records from both Werner and crst. I did offer to pay and crst gave me a comcheck number to put $100 on. (Maint guy probably put that in his pocket, as the promised reciepts never came)

Select truck was offering a 30day bumper to bumper warranty. But I'd still take to a independent shop at least 50 miles away.

    Gulf Thanks this.
