    Hello, new to this forum
I have around 70k and I'm ready to pull the trigger on a rig. I've been driving for over 5 years. Done a little ltl, dedicated, end dump, reefer. Deffinatly still getting my feet wet with the owner op running under my authority.

Anyhow to the point I'm looking at some 2016 T680 with ISX15 and 2016 Freightshaker with ISX15. in particular only reaching out to inquire about the walmart fleet trucks to see if their a good bet to buy. I know they all come with apu and 10 spd with gear ratio in the 2's. Milage on the truck is around 600k so they've been ridden. What are your thoughts?

A WM truck should be gently used. Experienced drivers, not beating them up. And serviced regulary.

Fleet maintained but very well maintained. All recalls etc., done. Depending on the price it may be a really good deal. Seen a lot of old WM trucks running the northeast. Still look good and running well. Not all duct tape and cracked fairings like they’re from NJ haha

Even with "good" maintenance and "gentle" use, it's a crap shoot. I bought one 15 years ago, after doing due diligence including dyno, and she still ended up needing an inframe 40K later.

IOW's don't spend all your money on the truck, keep some in reserve for the inevitable ####-ups.

Fleet maintained is a joke, so it had a oil change or two and still has factory grease it the fittings.... yea great. Not to mention however many hundred different clowns beating the duck out of them

figure out what you need to put down on a NEW truck or find a ~$20k 2000 and down truck From a retiring owner opp and take another few months/year and another ~$20k and go completely through it and learn about every nut and bolt on that truck

don’t forget first year insurance is going to be about $20k, plus you need a wagon, so don’t spend it all in one place
