They still make Columbias. Just in a different form, met up with a driver who had a 2013. They are only for certain applications.

What transmission would yall consider more safe? Auto or standard? i know standards would be more helpful going up and down hills and such...just wanted to get more info on that...i never been out on the road or anything like that yet...right now i'm training at FFE and bout to start my second week of training.

Yeah I've never driven an auto either. I prefer 13or 18 speeds.
-
i've been training on a 10 speed eaton fuller tranny....how much difference is there between a 13 or 18 speed as far as the splitter goes?
-
Trucail Thanks this.

13 speed is the best if you go everywhere. I hate having a ten, splitting to get up the hills is so much better.

i love my 18 but then again its really all ive ever driven aside from a couple 8LL's and i used to always pull heavy 100k+ lb's gross pulling a trash wagon i drove one 13 spd and a 10 spd once and i was so lost i like being able to shift from 8th high to 9 low just a habit i picked up when running empty when i got a decent load on 70k an up i'll usually shift 16 or 17 gears instead of 18 i know i dont have to but what can i say i like to shift haha
