What is your dosage and do you remember your last A1c number ?

Are you taking any other meds along with this ?

Just an FYI - if you switch to this drug, talk to your doctor about the side effects, there is a question about killing the pancreas off with it. BUT more importantly is do not switch while you are on the road because there is a number of problematic issues with the bathroom that you can have - if you know what I mean.

    dennisroc Thanks this.

I was on this for awhile. Seemed to work good at first; but slowly quit working later on. And yes, you do have to watch what you eat or you'll be watching it later from your seat.

This is why they should allow insulin. Sometimes I think insulin is a better idea, some meds slowly kill the pancreas.
I think control with insulin is a lot better and safer on the body.
Just my experience trying different ideas. Some meds can knock your sugar down way too low and way too quick.

I agree. Insulin is the way to go if the pancreas isn't doing its job. Many diabetics who are put on insulin feel like they failed; when, in fact, it's their body failing them. Although, insulin can create just as much of a problem as other drugs. It is easier to drop too low on insulin if it dosed wrongly or accidentally.

I think insulin shots give you better control if you are really doing what you are supposed to do. If you take insulin and don't eat the right amount of carbs you will go low or high, you just need to adjust and check blood sugar often and carry glucose tablets with you at all times if you get a low feeling.
Just my thoughts and what has worked for me .
