Bynum normally pays 32. They offered me 34 because I have a year of tank experience. Oakley offers 34. Both pay detention. IRT offers 37 with no detention. I'm leaning towards Bynum but I'm not sure. For me it's either Bynum or go back to IRT. IRT was great but they don't pay detention and there's a lot of waiting.

Not to mention that the dispatch office at IRT has their head so far up their butts, they have to brush their teeth after they use the restroom.

Have you ever looked into Johnsrud out of Des Moines? I know they have a pretty large hiring area, just don't know if it includes Florida.

Just looked on their website and it does not include hiring areas.

I was considering going back to Bynum. They offered me the same measly 34 cpm. Once a person has pulled a food grade tanker it ruins you. It is hard to go back to hauling general freight. However, I don't think some drivers considering food grade tank realize the amount of sitting/waiting is equal to or greater than all other modes of trucking.

At IRT I didn't sit hardly at all unless I was at a tank wash where there were already 20 other trucks waiting for their tanks to get washed when I got there. They are not afraid to deadhead you 500-600 miles or more to get a load

did you decide who you are going with Spring Chicken? JB Hunt is hiring in your area for dedicated wal-mart. I am considering it. pay is 41cpm. I worked at Bynum for about 6 months a few years back. I resigned when they sat me in McAllen, TX for 5 days after northern Mexico got hit by that hurricane. They did give me $50 a day layover and reimbursed me for 2 nights motel on my last paycheck. I was surprised.

I considered that also. It sounds like a pretty decent gig, but I just don't want to work for JB Hunt. I've heard and read too many negative things, very little positive. I'm going to orientation with IRT on Monday
