Yeah, i hear ya maybe im lazy to but darn is it nice to open a box and have nice clear instructions (not that i couldn't do it without but its always nice) and everythig needed.. By the way probaly does get said enough but, theres alot of knowlegable people on this site who give advice/opinions and i say thanks to all... Even though i already know everything ther is to know about truckin i love to educate myself ..LOL Musta missed it in your last post cowpie but on a side note ...those that run Rottella or Delvac and want to save $ over say wally world prices and such.. I went to local ato parts store (happend to be Advanced) talked to manager and they were more that happy to sell oil for much less any one else would.. Cheapest i ever got was $6.48 a gallon but i bought a whole skid of delvac... even now i dont buy nearly as much and they still deal quite nicely...

I understand what you're saying about running parts down and time management and some people not being mechanically inclined. But I like doing what my wife calls tinkering on my truck.LOL Old habit from growing up on a farm and working on our on equip. Got a good friend who owns a Napa store down the road who has already ordered me an oil plug with fitting in it for return line and when I get unit mounted he will make my lines for me.But I understand how some of this could be a headache and an all day scavenger hunt for some people.Thx for all replies and Happy Thanksgiving

For those that have the time and desire, tinkering is not a bad trait. I look at the balance of time.... could I be saving a few $$$ by shutting down and doing a job myself, or be rolling and making $$$. If the project isn't going to increase my bottom line, I do it the simplest, fastest way I can and then get back to work. There are a few projects I have done that would be considered tinkering mode. I think we have all done that at one time or another. In my case, I am off every weekend, but my weekdays are high productivity. It cost me substantial to take a weekday off to go on a scavenger hunt to find obscure parts or have them custom made, since most outlets that do this sort of thing are not normally operating on weekends. It doesn't help that I have a sizable acreage that consumes a lot of my time at home. And also it's hunting season!!!!!
