Best way out is to line up the next job before leaving CRE, when I was in orientation at Pride another guy that was in orientation was leaving CRE, upon getting officially hired he went down the road and turned in the keys to his lease truck. Leaving in this manner prevents them from blackballing you from getting your next job. They will still screw your DAC but at least they won't be your last employer when and if it's ever time to move on from the second company.

No credit, no money yet you just had to be an "independent contractor"? You are actually just a company driver paying for the company's truck and fuel payments. What COMPLETELY baffles me is that you've been a TTR member since 2008 and must have seen the thousands of threads about fleece deals not to mention the worst of the worst, CRE. Did you think you would be the lucky chosen ones? I don't feel a bit sorry for you, don't blame CRE, blame yourselves.

CRE is no place for the naive ... you have to be on your toes and have the guts to tell them to stuff it when they try to give you crummy loads ... The OP falls squarly into this catagory ... his post is filled with half truths and rumors ... CRE clears $59M ... how do you know? It's privately held company, no public finacials. The government reimburses all the tution ... no, there are some tax credits applied to the employment tax. Fuel rebate ... if you have a modicom of analysis abilty you will quickly surmise the CRE reduced fuel plan is rip off and that you want to be on the rebate.

Smart, bust your but pay attention and you can make money at CRE ... if you are solo it'll be about $700-$800 a week if you can get 3000 miles ... and there's the rub. That's $800 a week for every week you're working and if you take time off the you go into the hole. ... and if you don't get your 3000 miles, you go in the hole.

Last but not least .. CRE is a walk away lease. Not making money ... go to West Valley, take your truck to the shop have them go over it, get a punch list of things that need be repaired, have them do it .. then take take the keys into Horizon tell them thanks and leave.

I'm always amused at people who think there is nothing to this thing called trucking. Anybody can doit, do it well, and make huge amounts of money.

No experience, no problem. Sign on this line and trust us.

Neewbs looking for that quick easy buck.

    OPPS ! FAIL.

Shame on the big bad trucking company. Shame on them. It's ALL their fault !

Companies like this unfortunately thrive because they prey on the STUPID which apparently are not in short supply. I have absolutely no sympathy for those that fall victim to this. A miniscule amount of research is all it would take to see that there is no upside to getting themselves in these type of situations.

    Stupid is as stupid does?
There seems to be a shortage of smart people who are quick to condemn those that they consider "stupid" enough to believe a Big truck truckin' company that's well documented for their half-truths and outright lies, unethical business practices, borderline illegal activities, next to impossible to meet demands, --- that all favor the company financially, --- who aren't so stupid that they'd ever put any blame on such a company. Any moron can quickly see that the blame should be placed squarely upon those who fall for the bovine excrement that the Sons-0-Chester serve reheated and encourage wannaBees to swallow as much as they can, --- sort of a last supper before being taken to Pilot for dessert.

Blessed be those who condemn not a company for lying and cheating to generate their own wealth in abundance at the expense of those who believe that honesty is the best policy and trust that others are like-minded, and would never even consider intentionally misleading the flock of sheep who put faith in the words spoken by those who profess to be followers of the Lord and claim to be Christians.
    How smart is that?

    The love of money is
    the root of all evil.

Obviously there are those who would blame those seeking a job for what it pays for being evil rather than putting blame on a benevolent company that just wants what they pay out to come back to the company that loves the money more than life itself.

It's said that it's harder for a rich man to enter the Kingdom of Heaven.
For that reason, the Sons-0-Chester are owed a debt of gratitude for makin' it easier for their drivers to get past gate security when they get run to death by C.R.E.'s angels of dispatch.
Sacrifices of that magnitude don't go unnoticed, and will receive a just reward for their actions.
Just imagine an eternal vacation in a much warmer climate down under, --- with the prospect of enjoying the company of those responsible for makin' it all possible, and tellin' 'em "thanx saint Chester. If not for y'all, I mighta ascended to a higher place, and I have a fear of heights".

    Misery loves company.

And to their credit, the Sons-0-Chester run the most miserable Big truck truckin' company known to exist.
Does that make it right to bad-mouth them?
Try walkin' a mile in their expensive designer shoes first, --- see how that feels.

So which is worse? The vile companies that prey on these " Victims" or the people who believe that all who have paid their dues, done it right and have succeeded?

There are way too many in this country and this industry who are always looking for someone else to blame for their shortcomings.

I was taught that I would have failures and I should own them, learn from them and move on. Placing the blame where it needed to be. On Me.

drivers have been getting screwed and bad mouthing england since i got my cdl back in 2003. It amazes me that they are still around and drivers still wind up in there door looking for work. Ive been bruised and beaten and without work but going to a company like that was never ever crossed my mind. I rather drive a forklift and load trucks then drive one for a place like that. I hope you get out of there clean up your recrod if they mess it up and find a good job u can be happy with and sleep at night. good luck to you. rest assured your not alone in this wild world of trucking
