You can't imagine how relieved I am that you said that.
For awhile I thought it was my fault.
Now I find out it's yours.
I already heard that the Sons-0-Chester make no mistakes.
    Everything they do is intentional.
Is that any reason to fault them?
They're too tall to have shortcomings.

Lady Medusa, I am sorry for some of the posters on this thread who, instead of offering constructive criticism, just wanna beat you while you're down. I'm also sorry that I cannot offer much in the way of advice except to say that many, many people like yourself have been in your shoes. Research the forum. Some have walked away and were able to hire on with other mega TC's who don't care about your record at CRE- they understand.

You're young, hopefully healthy, you and your partner can move on. Good luck!

Sam Hell and 48Packard Thank this.

    You got a copy?
    Are you OK?
Tell us Issac didn't blow you away.
    We're worried.

As do many individuals and companies, CRE preys on the indigent. As I was and sorta still am indigent, I was eyeballing CRE out of an ad in a JOBS weekly newspaper.

What saved me? The Truckers Report and all the testimony about CRE. Fortunately, I landed a landscaping gig and my back held out just long enough to save money for a private school. It still took a 'Pre-Qualification' from Schneider before I lay down my cash at the school.

    B I N G O !! :smt038:headbang::hello1:
By GollY! -- You've hit the head right on the nail. :smt045

Whereas some folks are of the opinion that the Sons-0-Chester ain't got a clue how to run a Big truck truckin' company properly, --- and wonder how those boys manage to stay in business, ---
I'm thinkin' if they didn't know how, ...... they wouldn't still be in business. What does that leave? They know exactly what they're doin' and that's why they're doin' it the way they do.
It's by design. Movin' freight is just a necessary inconvenience, and it's just the tip of the English ice-cube accordin' to what's reported.
    :evil3:

    Smoke & Mirrors,.....................
Eye-catchin' ads with nice lookin' equptment and words to match.
That ice-cube up top looks cool floatin' in a mixed drink. But unless y'all look real close, --- just below the surface, ... kinda outta sight, --- that cube could contain a fly, or a roach, and by the time y'all realize it, all y'all can do is wonder how many didn't get noticed.
Apparently you discovered something before taking a sip of their cool-ade.

    I don't know.
    :dontknow:
ThanX for sayin' so CastingMFTTWind. We don't read a lot of C.R.E. success stories, but there have been a few. But the complaints remain consistent in content and higher in count. Life presents us with enough choices. A good choice is to not take chances. And it seems the odds of success at C.R.E. aren't in a wannaBee's favor.
I'm glad to hear that your back held out and for your acceptance by Schneider, a much better choice, --- and not the easiest Big truck truckin' company to be hired by. I began my career there and stayed almost five years. The only reason why I left was because I found a gig that fit me better.

A lot of those graduating drivin' schools have a mind set of only remaining with a "starter company" for six months to a year, ..... then movin' on. I didn't go along with that idea. To my way of thinkin', why not shoot for the top and stay there, advancing up the pay scale as I learned how the system works and working it to my favor. I firmly believe that's a better approach. You might want to consider that option.

But whatever you decide, I wish you the best of success.
    :smt023 :thumbleft:

    I hope you'll keep us informed. :smt045

I signed on with C.R. at first but because like many others with the job market I have been screwed a few times sense 08 I decided to research. When I did the first thought that went through my head

"These fools must have bumped their head"

I have seen nothing good coming from C.R.......not one good review. I may not be in the best place with USA but atleast I know I will be able to make some money.

thats the worse mistake anybody can make jumpin into a lease purch.deal yu barely can drive a trk must less know anything on leasing one so get some yrs under you before yu ever think about doin that its a joke these co's make more off leasing trks than haughlin freight then when the trks get miles they turn it in and get new ones!! and guess what all the new drivers paid for it!

This is why I'm currently still happy with Marten. I'm a company driver. I get paid for breakdown, layover and detention EVERY time. I get good miles, provided my truck isn't down (I blew a thermostat and a starter last week, screwed my week up pretty badly) I talk to Lease Ops who get a large looking paycheck, but you have to factor fuel, insurance and other costs out. By the time all that is done, they are actually making far less money than I currently make.

When I hear "lease", I cringe. That, and I've only been trucking since last spring... nowhere near enough experience under my belt to undertake something like that.

I hope you find a solution that works!
