The CAT program was never cancelled. In fact it was just put into 100% effect on 1/30/06. It's a brilliant opportunity for newbies to earn extra dough and get a $500 completion bonus when they sign a new lease. Great idea for current Leasors to have another newer driver to rack up the miles and get more $$$. They are finding a great success and reponse rate as this is decreasing their turnover and increasing their retention rate. Now over 57% of the company are independent contractors and are making bank taking advantages of the opportunies presenting themselves.

Nice company, Jerry Moyes' outfit. I think it's probably a great idea to go back to work there after I get 10 years in at C.R. England. I should have about 100 bucks saved up from my England job by then. By the time I pull a second 10-year stretch, I'll probably be ready to retire on my 500 bucks in savings I'll accumulate in those 20 years.

I'll say again--there is a good reason why these guys such as CRE and Swifty have help-wanted ads in papers every day of the world and have lots full of empty, cleaned-out rigs. Some will say that drivers who rag on companies like Swift are just whiners who've shot themselves in the foot. Yeah, right.

Listen to these people who've been burned and stay the hell away from these outfits!
