You should go with dry-box first. Reefer running is aggravating, so a green driver like yourself may have problems running reefer loads. While you're green, you need as much in your corner as you can get. You definitely don't need reefer headaches on top of all the other headaches you will feel when starting out. Even when you go with dry box, you'll still want to quit every day at least once. But with reefer, you'll want to quit on some days about every minute.

You need a job that you can keep for at least a year when you're starting out. Your first job absolutely MUST be good, or you're gonna be quittin' 'em before that year is up. It isn't good to be a job hopper no matter your experience, but when you quit jobs early before you get in your first year or two, you'll handcuff yourself to crappy companies, meaning job hopping will become your way your first few years in the industry. You don't need it. Make sure the first company is good and go to town with them for a year.

you have such a huge ego...of course I was not talking about you, hehehe:)I really meant God...LOL BUT IT'S OK, to have a good sense of humor is great specially during this time of doubts
hey, somebody told me the demo program( 6 months) is ok if you are a trainner, the contract to lease their truck is the one that sucks...this guy made the demo lease and when was done he heared about the real lease and gave them the keys back and went home.
is the demo for 6 months the contract when one get's in troubles? or is the one that they want one to sign after the demo lease?

There is a demo lease IF there is a demo truck available.
I was told they had a 6 month walk away demo lease.
When I went to sign papers, they said there was no such thing as a "walk away" lease with them.

Is a demo lease a lease that will "demo" your credit when it drives you into the bankruptcy hole? I'm guessing the answer is "yes".

    MMmmm ....yep.
The demo lease was explained as a used truck that we could lease and test the waters. If we didn't like it we could "walk away".

And to an extent that is exactly what we can do. Walk. Straight to the Greyhound terminal. The bad thing is you lose your ### the first 6 weeks of leasing. So the next 6 weeks you can't afford to stay. When you DO walk away they tend to ruin your credit.

It's tough living in a free country. You alone are responsible for yourself. No one will guide you through the minefields 'cept little ol' you, so you have to be on top of your game. Nobody ever does you favors in this economy unless there's an ulterior motive (something in it for them). When someone wants to be your buddy and "help you out", you need to turn tail and run. And be sure to hold on tight to your wallet as you're running away. Some can pick your pockets from a distance.

I can say with confidence now:

    F*** OFF, CR ENGLAND!!!!

Just left, going to orientation for JB Hunt. No, it's not the company positions that you ridicule all the time on here, it's a dedicated deal.
