I'd actually recently spoke with a gentleman who claims that all the western mountain state companies have a get together on pay and what they pay drivers. (C.R., Digby/Navajo, Central Reefer, Swift, etc.) like a "If they leave you, send them to me" deal.
C.R. England and Sons, Inc. - West Valley, Ut.

I'd say that depends on the quality of driver that is doing the quitting. If he's a problem child, sure. Send him to another outfit where he'll cause just as many problems. If he's a "grade-A" driver (a driver who has a pristine driving record and work history) and he wants to quit, that's a different matter.
These companies will more than gladly screw a grade-A driver's DAC to keep him out of a competitor's rig. I doubt seriously such a driver who quits one of these outfits will be guided by a noble shepherd who cares deeply about him to another one of these companies (a competitor, remember), a company that will welcome him with open arms.
This is cut-throat trucking we're talking here. Any one of these companies will do whatever it takes to keep one of its "grade-A" drivers onboard, including reverting to dirty trickery. -
Howdy all,
Does anybody know how they treat their dedicated route drivers?
Is Gary where they screw/scare you with their crappy training?
From reading this forum, it sounds like $55 bucks a week(?) is how much they charge you to "payback" the "training" you endure in Gary? Do they charge interest on the $500?
Thanks in advance,

I didn't do their school, already had CDL A when I got there, just needed somewhere to start. they were ok with finishing and such, but just weren't enough to keep me there.

My Boyfriend just left the Tx school to drive with his first trainer. He is VERY serious about what he is doing and came out top in his class. He wants to do the lease program no matter what I have read on here and told him about. He wants me to quit my job and go with him as soon as he gets his truck. Of course he believes he is going to make enough to support us both. He is willing to burn up the roads with every mile he can possibly do within the law and work hard but I am still worried after all I see on here to just up and stop working to go with him. (We are not kids by no means and neither of us are scared of hard work) I am just looking for someone to say that yes, if one is very dedicated and willing to work hard they can make a decent living being a lease operator with CRE. Curious why did you end your lease early? Also any other wise info on CRE and or the lease program you can share would be greatly appreciated.

If you want to work yourself to death and starve (no money ).....
than go for it.
He needs to learn the business first and heed the words of others that have suffered greatly at the hands of CR Englands foul deeds.
Doesn't just the fact they had to be sued to tell the truth about their
leasing program set of a fog horn size warning bell ?????? -

back in my company days - we refered to thos companies as the "mormon mafia"
I started my career with dick simon - lived in utah 5 years - and really got to know the connection between them all - dicks neice is married to CR WERNER's cousin - jerry's (swift) son in law is so and so's boy and on and on....
it was an 18 wheel incest mormon screw all out there in the 1990's
