A few years ago while working for Fla. Dept. of Ag. I was walking a grove near my home and just by nature you kinda' get an idea of what looks right and goes on around where you live. Well, I came across one of those C.R. England shinny door trailers sitting out in east no-place. Don't ever remember anyone in town driving for them at the time either. It was in one of those spots where either you were trying to hide it or dumped it after you were through with it. Needless to say, that nice shinny red tractor would have had some citrus green rub marks and nice scratches to tend to from getting back there. I thought I would be helpfull and called England up and their attitude was "so, what do you expect me to do about it". I am very glad most of my trucking is hauling citrus. It is not very glamorous and it is seasonal, but we don't have the aggravations you get from the big deal carriers, money is reasonable, no comic books to creatively lie in, and home at night. Goodluck to all!!

Aftershock, Eventually the trailer went away. I didn't see it go, as it would have had to somehow get out of 2x4's property to get to Hwy#31, which is not close to where I lived:biggrin_2552:. I never heard a word form the company.

    Hmmmmmmmmm.
    Go figure.

If I were them, I think I'd be interested.
    And wonder why they weren't?
Mighta been a "side" job -- that's payin' under the table?
Why dead-head when you can "side" broker a load of your own that pays five times better?

    HeY!
    Just thoughta sumthin' ----
    MAYbe -- THAT'S "how they DO-IT"(?)
    Ya reckon.

    BTW -- RACER-
Thanx for the thought provoking post. :salute:
