I know what you mean. I only work 30 hrs a week and its not enough. I know it doesnt make it any better, but we are a month late on our rent.
My ck wont pay the bills either. My hubby is leaving out to work with Barr nunn today. As a company driver. I hope for the best or better with this company. Seems it cant get much worse than CRE.
Good luck to you and ur family

There is no guessing about it. If you don't get out soon, you WILL lose your house, and probably much more. If you don't turn the rig back in properly, they'll hose you for even more on top of losing your house and possessions. You'll be walking around barefoot wearing oaken barrels. You'll have nothing to show for your hard work. The England story sounds a lot like what I've read in Howard Zinn's history books.

Maybe thats an idea.... From all the heck they have put so many families through, we need to write a book, make a magizine and then we might be able to get back SOME of what they took away from us.
My hubby is in 1st day of orintation with Barr Nunn trucking. Get this they pay for a motel room , private hotel room OH WITH a pillow top matress (only thing missing is me!:biggrin_25513:) Pay them for orintation, pay for all their meals...he is liking it so far! I just couldnt believe all this for orintation....something CRE wouldnt dare do. POS company.
If your hubby is still with CRE, dont walk away, run as hard as you can.

Yep, you will loose alot. Even your pride. We had to stoop as low to go to DSS to try to get some help....get this, we got denied b/c he was on the lease program and that made him self employeed, and his income BEFORE anything was taken out was the income they counted. So actually he was making 2k each week BEFORE truck payment, ins, fuel all that stuff come out of his 2k...so we were LIVING ON maybe 150/200 buck a week. CRE has just screwed us over in a major way.

We recently left Werner because of some problems with dispatch that would not be resolved by the company. We are looking for another company to drive for as a team. My husband has quite a bit of driving experience so he can go just about anywhere, but my only time is 3.5 months with Werner. In that time I logged 25,000 miles in 27 states over just about every terrain and in every weather condition possible. However, so many companies look at just the time in the truck, no matter where you took it. We don't want to be flipping all over the place and are ready to settle in for the duration. Anyone with any suggestions please reply. Thanks. I'd prefer a company that is NOT on the list of the worst in the business!!

A good one is ATS. They are pretty darn good. My husband went with them before he screwed up and went on the lease program with CRE.. HUGE MISTAKE, HUGE...The company my hubby is with now has to have at least 8 months in the truck, so his best bet is to go with ATS. They have FEWER downs than most companies. See if he can talk to Vickie, a recruiter. She is helpful. Hope this helps too!!!!

In a survey completed by the American Transportation Research Institute, 69% of industry executives ranked the shortage of truck drivers as the one of the top three issues facing the trucking industry.
Yes, they do recruit from the sexual preditor lists and recent Parole releases as long as their driving record is fair. Most public citizens do not want them living in their neighborhoods, so the Department of Corrections and the ATA have been working together to keep the EX child molesters on the move driving trucks. Safety of the public is not in the top three of the industry's list.

Tao, ...... are those actual quotes?
That's alarming!!! :biggrin_2551::biggrin_2551:
And C.R. England is participating in such a program? Is that true?
Or an opinion or a rumor?
This is serious stuff.
