    Banana,

It is nice that you took the time out of your running to come here and share the positive story which is probably the same for hundreds of CRE drivers who never have the time to come here and share. Unfortunately about all we hear on here are the ones who had problems and have enough time on their hands to come here and complain and usually put down anyone who, like you, has had a positive experience. Best of luck to you.

    Pawpaw,

Would you please direct me/us to any negative comments directed toward any
C.R. England drivers who have had positive things to say and were "put down" for doing so?

I don't have the time to look for specific posts but if you look far enough I am sure you could find somewhere, like with other companies, where those who speak positively about a company are called cheerleaders or recruiters, and sometimes the comments go beyond that. I know in the CRE threads that Grandma Debi was called a recruiter on several occasions and I have been called a cheerleader on several occasions.

    I have to agree
New posters beware if you like a company that is on the hit list here
You will not be believed or you will be called a recruiter
Aftershock your a pleasant poster and are not the type to post this way but it sure happens

To be honest, Tip, I am not exactly happy about the reduction in pay and miles.

My previous DM manages 3 dedicated fleets that have more miles & pay. He is waiting for a driver opening in one of them so he can get me in. He was the best DM out of the 7 I've worked with. Just one of those lucky breaks when 2 people just seem to hit it off and work exceptionally well together.

So I am basically in a holding pattern, at least for now.

I well remember Grandma Debi telling one particular poster that she knew how great C.R. England is, and he believed her --- he went to orientation and didn't last a week before he realized the bad things he was being told by others, myself included, were absolutely true, and he went back home to New York to his taxi job -- and apologized to me for calling me names and not believing what I, and others, told him to expect.

If folks ARE succeeding at C.R. England, I'd be interested in hearing their stories.

This isn't the only trucking related site that I've read the horror stories about C.R.E., and I've personally known of others who have had similar bad experiences with them. But I've read VERY few comments that are favorable. I DO read them all in search of the truth.
And I haven't heard how Grandma Debi's lease is going, -- so I wonder if she learned anything about how to succeed when so many others have failed.

If she's doing well, I would have expected her to post positive results. The silence is deafening.

Thanks Pawpaw, Aftershock and Baack for your insight here. All I can do is share my experiences....both the good and the not so good. I'm sure that others have had bad experiences.

If someone chooses to put me down or call me a recruiter, that's their issue.....not mine. Everyone is entitled to express their opinion.

Many American soldiers, in our history, have laid down their very lives to protect that right!

Best wishes to all in whatever you choose to do!

    On the lighter side:

    BananaRunner,

    Have we met?
    Allow me to introduce myself,
I'm Shakey AfterShock --- friends sometimes call me
Shockey --- and I have many here.

I'm not the one who will put ANYone down, or call them ANY names for being sincere. I will, and do, however, reserve the right to question any poster who might be spreading false information for ANY reason.

Folks come here looking for and expecting accurate information, and most of us pride ourselves with providing what they're seeking.

Personally, I don't like C.R. England because I personally know several people who received a raw deal with C.R.E. --- but I also have an open mind and am interested in hearing from anyone with favorable experiences with C.R.E.

I followed the Grandma Debi threads and, IMO, she DID come across like a recruiter. Although I don't recall accusing her of such, I'm aware that others did.

With only a very short time with C.R.E., she was telling folks what a fine trucking company it is. And one of the posters believed her over the opposite advice he was receiving from MANY others --- based entirely on what Grandma Debi was telling him.
As it turned out, he got burned by C.R. England just as had been predicted. For that reason, I consider what Grandma Debi did to be a DIS-service to the posters who come here seeking reality about trucking companies.

If ANY/ALL those who post their negative experiences with C.R. England are incorrect, I'd sure like to know that.
However, of all the trucking companies out there, C.R. England seems to have the worst reputation for doing their drivers wrong. Why is that?
    I'd sure like to know.

It may well be true that those who are finding C.R.E. to their liking aren't posting their experiences here, or anywhere else. And I have noticed that those who feel C.R.E. is an all-right company, have very limited experience in the trucking industry in general, and I can't help but wonder why I'm not seeing those with several years trucking experience posting positive remarks about C.R.E.

Also, CALLING someone something (recruiter), and/or asking if they ARE a (recruiter) are two different things. And I think asking is a fair question.

The posters here have combined experiences totaling probably a hundred years, or more, and when they/we/I read something that seems a tad fishy, they/we/I feel compelled to question the accuracy of their statements in order to protect wannaBees and newBees from a heartache, and/or complete financial ruin. And the C.R. England horror stories far outweigh the success stories -- which I find curious at best, and possibly misleading at worst -- and think it's probably based on inexperience and not knowing what the trucking industry is REALLY like. I'd sure hate to think some folks would, or are, intentionally misleading potential drivers just entering the industry, and directing them to a road-block. It's REAL lives we're dealing with here, and they DON'T deserve to be mislead.

If y'all ARE on the up & up, I would appreciate reading y'all's success stories in the search for my ULTIMATE goal --- that being the TRUTH of the matter.

If y'all ARE sincere, y'all have absolutely NOTHING to fear from me.
    HaiL!
    I'm usually a nice guy. :glasses6:

However, if y'all are just stroking me/us --
I CAN be a baaddd man -----> :naka:

    Honesty is ALL I ask.
And we'll get along just fine.

    10-4? :biggrin_25519:

Unless running team she is so busy she doesn't have the time she did before. Or she realized she would be called a recruiter or put down for her positive comments and so has decided not to come back. There are people who get fed up with negativity and decide to avoid it.

People who work for a company and like that company get frustrated when they are put down for who they work for or their company is continually being ragged on. Most who are successful do not have the time to be on here posting alot. I figure in about a month my time will be limited more than now because I will be back on the road and plan to run.

Companies the size of CRE, Swift, Werner, have not gotten that large by having thousands of drivers ticked off at them; more drivers ticked off then satisfied. If drivers were not satisfied, they would leave in droves and eventually the company would be unable to balance the losses. Is that to say these companies are fantastic companies? No company is such. Different people will like different companies. There are things about each company that will work for some and won't for others. The thing is to try to find the company that best matches your personal interests and then go there. In my family, for example, I like Burger King fries and can't stand McDonalds. My wife is the exact opposite. Does my dislike of McD fries mean they are terrible and no one should eat them? Absolutely not. Variety is the spice of life.

All that said, people should be able to come on here and post positive comments about a company without being called names like "recruiter" or "cheerleader". Those who wish to post negative about a company are also welcome. We need both sides of the story in order for people to make a wise choice based on their situation. But one suggestion to the negative posters. Take time to write in a more concise manner rather than the typical rant. When it comes across as a rant it lessens the value of the post. You may have a valid complaint about the company but post it without all the "drama". Otherwise it just comes across as someone who got ticked off at the company and is out to "get back" at them. Many of those types of posts are ignored by serious researchers.

Just out of curiosity AfterShock, what do you consider "false information"? Do you believe that a lot of information in negative posts can be false information to get back at the company? I remember one individual (who is now banned) that I and others were in discussion with kept adding all kinds of things each post about how bad Swift was. Even stating that Swift had more accidents than they have trucks? There was a lot of false informaiton in what he posted. Was that okay?

And how is it a disservice for Grandma Debi to share her wonderful experiences with CRE? Just because others have had poor experiences does not invalidate her positive experience. And she has just as much right to convince people CRE is a good place to work as those who don't like it have to try to prevent people from going there. However, I have to ask myself, what is the motive? If she was PM'ing people with her information so that she could get referral bonuses from everyone she could then she was just as wrong as those who use false information (like the aforementioned situation) to keep people away from a company. But if the negative poster is coming on here blowing off steam and ranting about the company to "get back at them" because of what they did, where is the value in that?

I have not had problems with your posts but feel it is important for both sides of the story to be told. I just feel the attitude of many who dislike a company is that they don't want positive posts on here and will go to all lengths to silence or attempt to negate them.
