Well i have been all over reading everything i can on these post for about 4 weeks now. 3 weeks ago i was trying to go with Central but thry wouldnt take me because i had a license suspension on my class c within a year of now. So I ran like a mad man through all these pages trying to decide on another company. My first option was the pumpkin team (schnieder), but they denied me for the same reason as Central. So, now i was confused and randomly applied everywhere just to see what company would respond. They were all not that great. So, the little bit of bad things but together with the far but few positives on CR England, I decided to apply with them. They seem okay for a starter Co. for me. And as far as an update to my first complaining post. CR England just excepted me about 30 min ago to start Monday in Mira Loma, Ca. I had to prctically beg the insurance guy to fax me some Non-Fault proof. So, right now i feel great. It may not be the best Co. but Im getting started.. thanks for all and any advice/replys.

Heh.... As much as I'd like to wait and see if other companies finally get off their arse and contact me, England is the only one that's foaming at the mouth to get me out there. Soooooooooooooooooooo, unless something changes within the next 2-4 days, I'll be Utah bound by the end of next week. :)

I do wish you well kid........

I would HIGHLY recommend you read your contract very, very carefully........ make sure that there is not way they can kick you out for your past history and then still stick you with the bill for training/school.....

Read everything............. they do not have a good reputation........ but that being said...... if you have to start there then so be it...... but use them to your advantage....... don't let them use you to theirs.....read up on this site so you will know what to watch out for and how to handle them so that you get the most out of your time with them..............

    Good Luck.....

    Keep us posted!!

Hey Kool Kid.....if you end up in Utah, welcome to CR England! As an England company driver, I wish you good luck!

Only one word of advice.....no matter what you are told by anyone.....DO NOT LEASE!!! unless you already have a team driver to partner with. Also, if you lease and want to earn the big money, plan on becoming an OTR trainer as fast as you can! With CRE the fastest that can happen is 6 months from your Solo Qualification date (scary thought!). Then get a dedicated run....like Nestle or Tropicana......they have the bast consistent miles and pay for team leasers!

Again, good luck and don't sweat the little stuff!

Yes, concider your self lucky! You didnt need them anyways. They are a horrible compnay. My hubby drove for them for a month and a half as O/O. Never a check over 330.00 a week. He had to stay away from us for 3 weeks at a time and not more money than that, it wasnt worth it. His last check was NEGITIVE 120.00. Oh and his DM left him sitting for a week and then had the balls to call him and ask him if he was under a load. WTF? They come got the rig and now has a 2k bill he owes them.
Guess they can get in line. Getting things caught up has taken months.
CRE is one of my least worries. Now he is a company driver for Barr-Nunn and loves it! Making over $600 a week, and home EVERY WEEKEND!
I love that!!! Barr-Nunn and ATS I would give a good word for, but CRE, well, not a snowballs chance in hell. They $uck #####.

You don't have to do truck driving. You can go to that heavy equipment school in Vegas, for one, and learn how to operate dozers, backhoes, cranes, and such. I know one ex-truck driver who went to chef school and loves his life now.

Check into getting a grant to pay for retraining.
