cr england is trying to get 1000 dollars out of me. i attended the class for one week and learned nothing. intructors were disrespectful to students, rushed everyone through important paperwork, for that i may have screwed myself... i did not earn a permit or a cdl with them, and waisted my time in there class to owe them 1000 dollars. i strongly advise anyone to not go to this school. they are very dishonest.

I wouldn't worry about it! When you write up the events leading up to you quitting I hope you do it better than the above post! Reread it, spell check it then print it!

You will write everything down and get ready to take it to a lawyer because that bottom feeder will try to get the money from you. You can tell them that they did not fulfill their obligation to you by getting you ready for your CDL.

If they insist on using a collection agency and oh yeah they will as I stated they are a bottom feeder company and feed off of newbies like you you will need to see the lawyer! Just be sure he NOT a Mormon! They stick together better than flies on a pile of BullS!

Thats about all I can tell you to do but I CAN tell you that if you are HellBent on entering this fast decaying field of trucking don't go through a bottom feeder company that will treat you as an indentured servant! Go to a community or Tech College for thousands of dollars LESS than that company and then go get a job at a better deal than being kept as a slave for some crappy training anyway!

Next read these forums and use the search button to find out about all of these training companies and their scum sucking ways! I would have thought you had done it BEFORE you got sucked in!

    Good Luck

Unless you act fast and get a lawyer (good luck getting anything other than a schyster on your assumed budget) your credit will be absolutely further screwed than it probably is already.

I wish I knew what I was getting in to. I was excited about going through cr englands training program, but it was not even helpful, and in the process i had my ss stolen in the hotel room. Coming in I already had my permit and 3 months otr experience. The whole first week was to get people there permits. I literally had to wait at the dmv for the others to get there permits.

One nice thing about CRE-fleece is that they start fleecing you the moment you walk in the door =they don't wait 3-6 months like some other fleecer operations. =An experienced driver can tell right away that this is bad and I got to get out of here as soon as possible. -You did the right thing and escaped the fleece before it got any worse.

I went to there school in Salt Lake and actually learned alot. I think some of what they taught is mis-guided, but thats besides the point. They teach you how they expect you to drive their equipment.

Stands for = Every New Guy Leaves After Ninety Days

This company is no different than the greedy low lifes that brought the economy to its knees. I wish I had been warned of them, but in hind sight I'm glad they put me thru it, because that opened my eyes and made me wiser to the industry!
I applied as a company driver, of course a recruiter promised me 28 cpm but after I was hired I was told that I'd be paid 24 cpm. From the time I arrived in Salt Lake City they were constantly pressuring me to their lease program. At the time I had no idea, but I was given false and exagerated info about earning potential so I broke down. My experience was, I was taken into a room, a guy comes in, gives me the lease and a pen and says " take a few moments and read this, print, sign, initial, and date where it says to" No one held a gun to my head or twisted my arm to sign it. However I have basic common sense to know that if you don't understand a contract don't sign it. I asked the guy if I could take the contract to a lawyer so they could explain it to me. The guy took the lease contract from me and left the room. Of course later I was told that I didn't qualify for the lease program. Honestly I can say that I was NEVER told or encouraged to run illegal. However it was a their grimy procedure to route driver to the opposite direction of home when it comes time for hometime. Prime example, I live on the east coast. Its time for me to be routed home. Too many times I ended up at Con Agra parking lot in Nebrasaka waiting for a load home. An hour short of layover pay, I get a load routing me to Laredo TX, which I'm told my load home is there waiting for me. At the Laredo yard, my load aint there, instead drop and hook an empty and deadhead to the Dallas terminal and wait for a load there. By the time I get to Dallas, I have to shutdown until I pick up time on the 70 hour rule. At the time it was england's policy that company drivers weren't allowed to bobtail to a truck stop, nor was I allowed to take my empty and wait at a truck stop. I was told that I had to wait there at the terminal until I picked up hours (that's where I learned the trick, turn off your truck unplug the Qualcom dish, restart the truck, slip the gate guard a 20 trick)

you are so right here. you should read my post from a couple weeks ago,. it was REALLY REALLY long. i was there from feb to may 2009. everything you say is true.. plus a lot lot lot more!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

the ONLY reason i went there is cuz NO ONE else would hire me. but after 83 days, i couldnt take anymore. (it was only suppose to be 30 day training,. then home time, then 60 more days training. my 30 days turned into 83 and then they wouldnt let me go home at that point, they wanted me to sit in their nasty hotel and wait 2-4 weeks for a phase 2 trainer. i only lived 3 hours from the terminal. so i went home and never went back!! i still cant get a job driving anywhere, but really dont care. i dont think otr was for me anyway.

When I was in SLC for my final upgrade (got there on a Friday night and had to wait till Monday morning for the class), I only used the "dorm" room to lock my stuff up. I slept in the couch in the lobby every night. The gaurd told me he didnt blame me. The dorm rooms smell like butt (not even joking) and the bed are cheap metal frame bunk beds from walmart that squeak to no end. I didnt shower while I was there due to the fact that people were getting athletes foot from the shower room floor :biggrin_2554:
