'we were forced to go to class on the 4th of July because CRE dont know what a holiday is.'
yes sit it shows you don't know much about trucking.
Trucking is a 365/24/7 operation.
There are many drivers who miss holidays with the family, etc. Hell i miss my wedding anniverary most years, but my wife understands why.

It's one of the reasons there is so much turn over in this industry. People jump into it, expecting it to be a more "ordinary" job, as far as working hours go. They don't do enough research before signing on with those schools. Then they are stuck with a big bill, and unless they "keep on trucking" it's gonna cost them dearly.
There are some folks who just do not understand the hours and time away from home in this business. And there are some people who are unable to learn, unless they experience it first hand.
CRE Sucks. As to all of these bottom feeder type companies. But for someone who is totally unfamiliar with the business, they just don't realize that.AfterShock and Lilbit Thank this. -

Like the others have already said, the amount of time devoted to either driving or fixin' never ends. I was glad hauling fruit is seasonal because by the end of the season I didn't want to see a truck let alone drive one for a while. If it's yours there is always something big or little to tend to, if it belongs to someone else there are always little things to care for that are important to you so it rides, runs, or stops better that might not be important to anyone else, Since I dragrace I so enjoyed heading east on SR 64 going by DeSoto Bradenton) when my friends were racing but I had to go earn some money instead. Now, let me end by saying I absolutely loved hauling fruit, and when I get back home I wanna' go back to doing it, agravations (there could be a few) and all, I guess some people never learn. There has got to be a special place for all of the companies that prey on people that want to do this and take advantage of them.

I drive for Pride and they are anything but crooked. They have nice, new and well maintain equipment. They run all the tractors/trailers thru the shop as they cycle thru the yard to maintain them. Trucks are washed every time you get thru the yard as well. I'm getting better miles and better pay for other thing as well, here's a short list.
They pay detention automatically, even if they don't get paid by the customer.
They pay extra stop pay automatically, no need for a PO#.
They pay stop pay for ever stop of a produce load included the first and lasts.
They reimburse for parking fee's.
Free washers/dryers at the yard.

Carl Moyes was a driver for C.R. England in the 1940s, and his two sons, Jerry and Ronald, were childhood friends with Jeff England, son of Gene and grandson of Chester. Carl left CR England to start his own company with his wife, Betty, B & C Truck Leasing. Carl and Betty later employed the Knight cousins to drive for them. Maude Knight married Chester R. England in 1916. Carl and his two sons moved to Phoenix, Arizona in 1966, and founded Common Market, the company that later became Swift Transportation in 1969. Brothers Kevin and Keith Knight and along their cousins Randy and Gary Knight, who also moved to Phoenix and worked for Swift, then founded Knight Transportation in 1990. Jeff
England founded Pride Transport in 1979 in Salt Lake City.[2]
You want facts?? Well there you go!! I'm sorry but if you drive for them & have no clue as to who the owner is, you must have your head in the sand. -
Rizen Phoenix asked for facts about the allegation that the owner of Pride was crooked. The facts you provided prove nothing.izifaddag and RizenPhoenix Thank this.
