he has a famkly of truckers. why does he need school.

have the family teach you. find out what the dmv requires. and go take the test. you don't need to go to school to get a license.

Sadly my grandfather is leaving the business in the next few months and heading for retirement in Florida. But I plan to apply to a lot of local companies here in Michigan. And there are A LOT OF THEM.

Are you certain they'll hire you with no experience?

Forgive me if this comes off as a dumb question but if you're in a family of truckers what were you doing at CR England?

The truck and trailer rental is 250.

Remember that if you do rent and have to take the truck to the testing place have a cdl holder drive it there.....

Also MI each section has x number of points and you can can miss a certain number. I forget how many points per section, sorry. Three sections are pre-trip, maneuvers, and road test.

Pre-trip is like 120 points or so. You will need to use the correct terms like 'not broken or bent' for most metal, 'not corroded' for electrical, etc.

Maneuvers you have a 90 back, 45 turn and straight back. Each pull up is 1 point and you cannot even stick your head out the window. Each cone hit is a point and going back too far is or not enough is a point.

Road test is basically what you would expect. Don't hit anything and keep you head moving. Pay attention to bridge heights as you will be randomly ask what the sign said. You will also do an emergency stop, so be sure to set the brakes.
