I was a mentee for c.r. england and just as soon as I finished everything that was needed to get my own truck I was that they didn't have a truck for me (however all of their yards Stockton, salt lake and Laredo yard) all have new trucks sitting there not being used. But I was told I would have to wait 1-3 months before I would be able to get a truck. They told me that my mentor would drop me off in my hometown since it was on the way to his next drop off. Well a couple hours later we was at a Love's and I went inside to get food and when I went back outside all of my belongings was piled up where the truck was parked when I went inside. I immediately called cr england and they just said they'll talk to him, sounded like they really didn't care. I asked if they was going to send another truck, or help out with me getting home and they just said no. And I'm 2 states away from home. Well as I'm at the greyhound station talking to this other guy and the exact same thing just happened to him. It seems like they are hiring people as mentees and when they are up to get their truck they give them the run around so they quit. Keeps their finances low so they only have to pay drivers a mentee wage instead of truck driver wages.
