I'm due in Indy at C1 in a little over a week. Their program supposedly consists of 1 week classroom and two weeks driving, backing, etc. I just read a story from a member that's about a year old that pretty much said they give you minimal training, truck time and try to push you out in two weeks. The person said they had 47 miles and 13 total hours truck time. That doesn't really sound like much training to me! Anyone got any pointers on what I should know BEFORE I get there so I can go ahead and get my CDL regardless of how good C1 turns out to be? That one story has me seriously reconsidering my decision, and I really do want to get into trucking. Any advice, tips, or pre-class prep work I should have down prior to showing up? Well, the floods in Nashville this past weekend and guys sitting for 20 hours with nowhere to go worried me a little too, but not as much as the story about C1! Hope those guys had a backup plan for toilets!

    Thanks

I'm curious if you ever got any responses to your questions and what you learned. Did you take the classes? If you did, what was your experience? I'm seriously considering taking the leap, but like you I read the same bad review.

Thanks for any help you can provide.
