C1 school in newport ar (asu)

    Can anyone give me some info on the area of Newport AR, that is where I might be going to school in a few weeks and would love some info on the school as well. Would you go to ASU in Newport for C1 or Indy, all with Driver Solutions. I have a pre-hire with PAM Transportation. Any advice would be appreciated. Maybe someday I can buy you a cup of coffee.....

    I went to the ASU Newport school back in August. I have no complaints on the training or living arrangements. My only complaint would be the mosquitos there. I would highly recommend some repellent if it is remotely warm when you go. Newport itself is a very small city, only about 7k pop. I believe. The school is about 5 miles from the apartments. The Price Chopper has a very good/big Chopper Whopper combo meal for about 5 bucks. Smokes are expensive so plan accordingly if need be. You'll have quite a bit of free time even though you are in class 7 days a week so bring what you need to pass the time. Rooms have fully stocked kitchens, cable tv, washer/dryer, and 2 bedrooms for 2 each. Hope this helps. Good luck to ya.
