C13 Cat opinions

I have an 06 International 9200. C13 - 430hp. Engine is junk. Engine dropped a valve at 790k and destroyed the engine. Needed a complete overhaul.
The 430 hp feels like 350. I don't haul heavy loads and this truck is still slow and gutless up hills.
Actuators in engine always stumble and run like crap when engine is warming up between 150 - 180.
Has been 350k since rebuild and engine is going through quite a bit more oil now than it used to.
I change it every 15000 and I have to add 2 gallons between oil changes.
Engine always seems to lose coolant too, always has before and after rebuild. Never dropping on ground so I don't know where it goes but every couple thousand miles I am adding a pint of coolant.

Bottom line the C-13 is junk. I would never buy another one.

 

I have a c-13 in a 2006 Int 9200. Is a piece of junk. Wouldn't every buy another one.

 

Mine were great. I'd buy another. You must have got a lemon.

You only told us a fraction of the story. What are the truck specs? How much are you pulling?

 

10 spd ultrashift, 3:58 rears. Is a 3 axle expedite truck. Typically I am at around 35 000 lbs.
