o ne of two things then a cracked housing or the external harness has a defect ie oil or intermitted connection. when I say it has a crack you wont be able to see it sometimes it can crack in an area where the slave pistons seat causing them to stick. your not throwing codes so it could be mechanical in that housing. was there any oil residue in the plug on the external harness side?

Yes there is oil coming through the back of the external plug. Could the solenoids be the problem? The weird thing is when 5 and 6 do work they are just as strong as all the other actuators. They only work maybe 1 outta 3 or 4 tests though. and #5 builds up real slow.

Also the fact that it aborts right before it test 5 for the second time makes me think gotta be electrical.

ok, if oil is in the external harness that maybe your culprit. I hate to tell you to buy that harness and replace it though because all your doing is throwing parts at it hoping it fixes it. but if they had different housings on and it was still acting up. there may be enough oil in the external harness to affect it. did you clean the external plugs out with brake cleaner or starting fluid before plugging them back in?

I cleaned the external plugs with brake cleaner before plugging them back in. Maybe I didn't get them good enough cuz I was wiggling the rear plug during a actuator test seeing if I could get it to kick in and noticed oil inside the wires.

I have another question about my truck hopefully someone here can help out rather then starting a new thread. When using my cruise control the truck randomly speeds up and slows down. Example if its set at 60 mph it will speed up to 63 mph then slow down to 57 mph and keep doing it. If my output on rear of tranny is getting sloppy could that cause this? Wondering if that may be causing my vibration too, I remember a little play there but it wasn't enough to concern me at the time (about 4 months ago)

    No play at trans output.

I checked the voltage at the iva pressure sensor with the engine running, I am getting 5v on the supply, 0.07v on the ground, and 1.3 on signal. Why would i be showing voltage on the ground?

I unhooked all the sensors from the harness, I put the multi meter on "buzz" mode. On a few of the sensor plugs, specifically coolant diverter I am getting "a short" between the 2 wires if I bend the harness around, i can bend it around and get the short to buzz on and off. I dont know the proper terms does this make sense? Is it normal? I have a whole new harness in the shop i just dont want to throw away 1400 if it isnt going to fix anyrhing.

that diverter plug is notorious for going bad. not so much the plug but the wires going to it. I will bet it is burnt where it runs near the manifold. $1400 is that what they are charging for a new harness!!???
