Today i had just left the house and i made it bout 2 miles down the road. I was driving at bout 60 mph and i lost throttle, stop engine light comes on, coasted in gear for a few seconds and then the engine came back to life. Then 5 or 6 seconds later it done the same thing. This time it didnt come back to life.

I had my brother pull me back home and put it into the shop. I dumped 911 powerservice in, changed fuel filters and tried to start it. No go. Shot a little either, ran off either and died. Done that a few times to see if it will take off, but it didnt. I thought, well dam, Its not getting fuel or power.

I notice now that the ECM is NOT showing any milege, engine hours, outside temp. Also it showed no oil pressure while cranking the enigine on either. Its like the ecm lost power or has failed. Anyone have a schematic on the ecm plugs so i can check for power? Any suggestions? Thanks guys!!!

Is the check engine light flashing ? Do you know how to check for codes ? Leave the key on the on position, with the cruise control off and on switch on off, flip the cruise resume toggle up or down and hold for about 5 seconds or so and the the check engine light will flashing in 2 sets. If it flashes 5 times and pauses and flashes 5 times again then the code is 5-5 which is no faults, normal. If it flashes a set of like, 4 and 3 for an example, then you have a fault code of 4-3 and you have to look it up or post it here and some one will look the code up for you.
Just on top of my head it seems your issue might be the a timing sensor or low battery voltage.

Thanks @Diesel Dave I did try to check for codes. The check engine light doesnt even come on at all when i turn the key on and/or hold the cruse button down.

My air pressure gauge work, volt gauge works, but thats it. The backlighting does work on all of the gauges though. My truck had been setting all week and when i got in it to start it today, the batteries were way down. It cranked slow, but it did start and run. It idled for maybe 30 mins to warm up before i took off. It ran just fine for the first couple miles then just basically died.

Im at a loss. I need to see what pin numbers to check on my ecm for + power and for ground.

Oh by the way, i just replaced all 4 batteries 3 weeks ago. The batteries crank fine and seem to have plenty of juice.

I'm sure it's a ECM power issue as it's not doing the self test. I am out on the road, and don't want to spout bad info from memory with out looking in the book lol.

Im thinking theres GOT to be an inline fuse between the ECM and batteries, but i havent found it yet.

I just think its very odd that the ECM isnt showing any memory on the miles or hours.

I also agree that there must be an inline fuse too. Have you checked ecm fuse or circuit breaker in fuse panel?

I check what i could in the fuse box in the cab. Nothing bad there. So my next step was gonna be start looking to see where the inline fuse for the ECM is. i hoping the ecm isnt gone. I wish i had a test unit to put on it
